Testing a Server or Station

You can test execution on the public and private stations for a selected server. Your can also test authentication of the server.

  1. If you have more than one 3DOrchestrate Distribution Server, select the 3DOrchestrate Distribution Server to which the station is connected.
  2. Click .

    The Test Execution on Server/Station dialog box appears, displaying a list of all stations that are running on the server. The list also includes two additional items: {localhost}, which enables you to test execution on your private station; and {3DORCHESTRATE.SERVER}, which enables you to test authentication on the server.

  3. Select the station, private station, or server where you want to test execution or authentication.
  4. Click Submit.

    If you are testing a public or private station, a dialog box appears stating that the job was submitted on the server. Dismiss the dialog box and, if execution completed without issue, another dialog appears indicating that the job is complete. If there was an issue with the test, the dialog box includes the job log to help identify the issue.

    If run-as is enabled for the station, the app prompts you to enter your run-as credentials.

    If you are testing the server, the app displays the results of SSL and Passport authentication.
