Filters
You can filter the widget by target date or duration. The filter optimizes the initial data set so that it displays faster. The filter remains in effect between sessions so you only need to set it once unless you want to change it.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Filters
. - Select a target start date. Click in the text box to open the calendar, and select a date.
- Select a duration. Click in the text box and select one of these options:
- Next 30 days
- Next 60 days
- Next 90 days
- Next 1 year
- Click Apply.
You can change the widget title to reflect the type of filtered data you selected. For more information, see Setting Preferences.
Graph View
Click Graph
to view the documents as a graph. The graph plots the target launch date (X-axis) and the Proposed Investment (Y-axis). Today's date shows as a red vertical line in the graph. The graph shows each Business Document as a bubble. The size of the bubble is based on the revenue value, as compared to other Business Documents in the graph. The color of the bubble relates to the state of the Business Initiative Project.
Hover over the bubble to view this information about that Business Document:
- Document name
- Related projects
- Target launch date
- Proposed investment
- Revenue
Click on any bubble to view the details of that Business Document. The chart slides off and the small tile and ID card display with the Properties for the Business Document.
Tile View
Click
to view the Business Documents as an array of small tiles. When you click a tile, the small tile moves to the left pane and shows details about that Business Document in the right pane. The details include these items:
- Id card
- Properties tab
- Impacted Business Unit tab
Small Tile
When viewing the tasks as tiles, you see the list pane with a small tile for each task and the details pane. The small tile includes this basic information:
- Document name
- Related projects
- Revenue
- Investment
ID Card
When you click a small tile, the ID card slides into view. The ID card includes these details:
- Document name
- Related projects
- Proposed investment
- Target launch date
To work with the Business Document, you can perform these actions:
- Click Download
to save the document to your computer - Click Open in 3DSpace
to open the task in Collaboration and Approvals. For more information, see Documents. If you have the required access role, you can edit the document.
Business Document Properties
The Properties
tab shows property details of the document. For more information, see Business Document Properties.
Impacted Business Unit
The Impacted Business Unit
tab shows a table of business units added to the document as being impacted by that document. The table includes these columns:
- Name
- Description
- Resource Managers
Saving a Snapshot
You can take a snapshot of the widget display and download it as a *.png file to your computer. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Snapshot
. - Enter a name for the snapshot.
- Click Download. The app opens a file same dialog. Enter a name and select a directory for the snapshot, then click Save.
Printing the View
You can print the current view of the widget. To do so, follow these
steps:
- Click
Print
.
- Select the required print options.
- Click
Print.
Emailing the Charts
You can email a picture of the current view of the charts. To do so,
follow these steps:
- Click
Email
.
- Enter an email address, edit the subject if you want, and enter a
message.
- Click
Send.
