FBDI Report for Interactive Mode

This section describes the different sections and the information of the FBDI migration report for interactive mode.

Import Report for FBDI

The Import Report dialog box appears when you run FBDI interactively.

The following table explains the report terms in detail.

Report Term Meaning
Source Source corresponds to origin of the information. For example, it can be the name of the file, the container or the feature that generates the problem.
Status Status of the information can have four values, ordered by growing importance: OK, Warning, Unknown, Error.
Error name Unique identifier of an error. It is only used for information with an Unknown, Error or Warning status. For more information on error code and messages, see Infrastructure Errors detected by FBDI.

Import Information

Click Save As XML to save the report in .xml format.

In the Import Information section, a general view of the import appears. Click to view the scope completion details.

The following table lists the terms and symbols in the Import Information section and their meaning:

Report TermMeaning
Report name Name of the report.
Build dateHH: MM: SS DD - MM -YYYY Report creation date and time.
Note: FBDI interactive report duration time will also include user interaction time.
CATIA VersionCATIA version that was used for import.
Client machineName of the machine that was used for import
Input data size Size of imported files.

The next step will be executed.


Conversion is successful.


Save is successful.


Indicates start and end time of import process.

Report TermMeaning
Number of occurrenceHow often the errors occurred.
Error code Code used to identify FBDI errors.
DescriptionShort description of the error.

Context Information

In this section, you can review the different parameters set for the import.

The following table lists the various options available in the context information section and their meaning.

OptionsMeaning
Execution modeType of import, with or without the use of mapping tables.
Similar documents options Options chosen out of update and no re-import for new, identical and old files.
Main mapping contextName of mapping table context.
Main mapping context friendsNames of the mapping table friend context.
Isolation modeWhether isolation mode is activated or not.
AssemblyWhether Structure Only or Full import is activated.
RevisioningWhether revision options such as Create new revision, and Propagate new revisions are used.
Import applicationWhether import is done using interactive or the batch utility.

Save Information

In this section, you can view the details about the documents that are being imported.

The following table lists the various options available in the save information section and their meaning.

OptionsMeaning
RootsThe number of root document of the assembly being imported.
NameThe name of the product (document) being imported.
RevisionThe revision of the product being imported.
Minor RevisionThe minor revision of the product being imported.

Details for the Documents

In this section, you can view more information about each imported file.

The following table explains the vital columns in the details for the documents section.

ColumnMeaning
DocumentName and the path of the document.
Execution ModeWhether it is Import, No Import, Update.
StatusWhether the execution status is OK, Error, Warning, Skipped or Interrupted.

You can access the list of representation pointed by a representation and also the representation pointing it.

Other Messages

This section appears only when there are errors that are not attached or not about a specific document.
