You can create a production system excitation and simulate it in a manufacturing scenario.
Cross-highlighting
The cross-highlight mechanism shows directly the selected production system occurrence in the tree and objects implemented by this production system occurrence.
For operation selection:
- Items directly implemented by the production system occurrence are highlighted in the tree.
- Products directly implemented by previous items are highlighted in the tree and in the 3D.
- Used resources implementing the production system occurrence are highlighted in the tree and in the 3D.
For system selection:
- All items implemented by all operations under the system are highlighted in the tree.
- All used resources implementing operations under the production system are highlighted in the tree and in the 3D.
Simulation of a Production System Excitation
The production system excitation is simulated directly by selecting the excitation and clicking Play on the Compass.
At simulation initialization:
- Only 3D objects implemented by previous operations are displayed according to the Define Position option.
- Products implemented by the operation referenced by excitations are displayed at the start position. This start position is retrieved from the track aggregated by the operation.
- Used Resources implementing the operation referenced by excitations are displayed at the start position. This start position is retrieved from the track aggregated by the operation.
During simulation, 3D objects are moved according to operation specifications.
At simulation end, all 3D objects are shown according to the Define Position option.
Simulation of a Manufacturing Scenario
You can simulate a manufacturing scenario either by clicking Preview in the Manufacturing Scenario dialog box or by selecting the scenario and clicking Play on the Compass.
If the Manufacturing Scenario contains a production system excitation, at simulation initialization:
- Only 3D objects implemented by previous operations are displayed according to the Define Position option.
- Products implemented by the operation referenced by excitations are displayed at the start position. This start position is retrieved from the track aggregated by the operation.
- Used Resources implementing the operation referenced by excitations are displayed at the start position. This start position is retrieved from the track aggregated by the operation.
During simulation, 3D objects are moved according to the excitations or to the operation specifications.
At simulation end, all 3D objects are shown according to the Define Position option.
