Managing Inconsistent Links on Tracks

You can identify track objects that have inconsistent links to other objects, and repair such links based on proposals such as delete and automatic reconnect.


Before you begin: Load your session data, which should include some inconsistent links between tracks and other objects.

  1. From the Tools section of the action bar, click B.I. Essentials .
    The B.I. Essentials list appears.
  2. Select Track Link Status in the list.
    A colored square appears next to each track node in the tree to indicate the status links.



    In this example, violet squares indicate invalid links and green squares indicate valid links. For more information, see Track Link Status.

  3. Select one of the tracks with a violet square, then click Link Management .
    The Links Management panel appears.

    In the Associated Elements area of the panel, the icon indicates that the link is broken, and the icon next to the product name indicates that the link to the product is not valid.

    In the Available Elements area of the panel, the icon indicates a possible replacement product. Note that the product is displayed in the 3D viewer at the right-hand side of the panel.

  4. Right-click the invalid product and select Automatically reconnect inconsistent link .
    The valid product replaces the invalid product in the Associated Elements area, and the icon indicates that the link is reconnected.

  5. Click OK in the panel to validate the modification.
    The green square appears next to the track node in the tree to indicate that the link is now valid.

  6. Repeat the interactions described above to repair the other inconsistent links.
    Note that you can use Automatically reconnect inconsistent link to automatically reconnect links or Delete inconsistent link to delete them.
