Managing Resources for a Track Under Operation

You can select executing and used resources as moving objects when you author or edit a Track under operation.


Before you begin: Start a Assembly Evaluation session with a PPR context containing at least one operation that has executing and used resources assigned to it.

  1. Right-click an operation in the tree or Gantt chart and select Create Track.
  2. In Track Authoring, click Moving Objects .

    The Moving Objects panel appears.

  3. Select the Resources tab in the Selected Products area of the panel.

    The Resources tab in the Available Products area is also activated.

    By default, used resources linked to the operation are listed in the Selected Products area as moving objects for the Track. All available resources are listed with their roles.
    Note: Resources are listed according to either:
    • The resources implementing the operation
    • The capable resources defined for the operation, if they are instantiated in the area resource structure linked to the workplan.



  4. Select a resource in the Available Products list and transfer it to the Selected Products list using .

    Resources can be unassigned using .

  5. Click Close to close the panel.
  6. Define T-Points using the Track Authoring dialog box.
  7. Click OK to create the Track.
  8. Simulate the Track.
    The assigned resources move along the Track with correct positioning.

Tips:
  • To zoom on a specific resource, right-click a resource and select Reframe On.
  • To fit all resources in the view, right-click the 3D area and select Fit All In.
