Inserting an Existing Bookmark

You can insert a copy of an existing bookmark in the bookmark structure using the Insert New bookmark From command. The newly inserted bookmark appears both in the bookmark structure as well as in the 3D representation in the work area. You can insert multiple bookmarks into a single bookmark structure.

  1. In the work area select the bookmark in the expanded bookmark structure in which you want to insert an existing bookmark.
  2. Click Insert New bookmark From in the Edit section of the action bar.
  3. You can do either of the following:
    • Select a bookmark that is attached to another product. You can switch to another tab where the expanded product structure is open and select the bookmark of your choice.
    • Search for a bookmark using the Search section of the top bar.

    Note: You can check the Multiselection box if you want to insert more than one bookmark. In this case, you can select multiple objects from the search results. The mouse pointer changes to when you select a bookmark and to when you select any other type of object.

    A new copy of the selected bookmark is created, including its complete sub-bookmark structure. The copied bookmark points to the same items as the original bookmark. The copied bookmarks appear in the bookmark structure and 3D representation. The newly inserted bookmark has "Copy of" appended to the beginning of its name. They are named according to the default naming convention to prevent a collision with bookmarks that already exist.
