Selecting Multiple Objects in the Bookmark Structure

You can use Select Under... to select more than one object in an expanded bookmark structure in the work area, according to the conditions you define.

  1. In the work area, expand the bookmark structure.

    Note:
    • When you open Bookmark from north quadrant, by default all the bookmark workspaces are displayed. Henceforth, Engineering bookmark is not displayed under MRN.
    • My Workspace is renamed as My Bookmarks in the context menu.
    • The following commands related to engineering bookmark are removed.
      • My Root bookmarks
      • My Organizations Root bookmarks
      • Other Person’s Root bookmarks
      • Query Root bookmarks

  2. Select a bookmark, Bookmark, reference or object containing child objects from which you want to select objects.
  3. You can do either of the following:
    • Right-click the selected object and click Select Under... .
    • Right-click the 3D representation of the selected object and click Select Under... .
    • Navigate to the Navigate section of the action bar and click Select Under... .
    The Select Under ... window appears.
    Note: You cannot navigate to the Volume tab as is not available.
  4. Navigate to the Simple tab to filter object selection by their type.
  5. Select an object type from the Object type list.
  6. Navigate to the Advanced tab to filter object selection by their type as well as attributes.

    Note: It is the default tab that opens when the Select Under... window is opened.

  7. To define the parameters used to select objects in the Advanced tab:
    1. Select an object type from the Object type list.
    2. Select an attribute type from the Attribute type list.
    3. Provide an attribute value or select it from the Attribute value list.
    4. Select Invert Criteria, if you want to select objects that do not satisfy the criteria provided.

      If Invert Criteria is not checked, the objects that satisfy the set conditions are selected.

  8. Select Keep current selection to save your settings in the Select Under... window for future use.
  9. Do either of the following:
    • Click OK to define the type and attributes of the objects to be selected and close the Select Under... window.
    • Click Apply to save the settings made in the Select Under... window and continue defining types and attributes of the objects to be selected.
    • Click Close to close the Select Under... window.

The objects that satisfy the set criteria are selected in both, the bookmark structure and the 3D representation.
