Messages Reporting Window

This document describes the Messages Reporting window. You can display this window when you check a behavior, or when you launch a virtual execution.

The Simulation tab displays messages.

With the Messages Reporting window, you can:

  • Read messages, as one line per message, or more in detail for each message
  • Filter messages on type
  • Navigate to center the diagram on a model in a message
  • Highlight, in the diagram, the models in a message
  • It there are hyperlinks present in a message, you can click a hyperlink to, depending on the target of the link:
    • Activate the corresponding model
    • Highlight the corresponding component or connector.

Columns

ColumnDescription and Symbols
No

Displays the tree structure of the messages.

SeverityDisplays the severity of the message. The main symbols are (in rising severity):

Information message

Warning message

Error message

Note: If the subtree of a message contains a message with higher severity than the message itself, a small symbol of the higher severity is added to the message symbol in the tree.
MessageDisplays the message. A tooltip displays the message as well, this is useful when the message is long.
ModelDisplays the model related to the message, if any.
