About Configured Requirements

You can create a configuration context to apply effectivity on a requirement structure.

This page discusses:

Configuration Context

A configuration context can be defined on a requirement structure to apply configuration criteria. Some configuration criteria must be defined in a product model.

See Configuring Context.

Effectivity

When a configuration context is defined on the parent node of a requirement structure, an effectivity can be set on the child levels.

See Setting Effectivity.

The following effectivity kinds can be applied on requirement objects:

  • Product Revision (the configuration context must be linked with a product model)
  • Feature options (the configuration context must be linked with a product model)
  • Milestone

Filter a Configured Requirement Structure

The purpose of a configuration is to display only the relevant information in the tree and work area. You can filter a configured requirement structure.

See Filtering Configured Requirements.
