A multispecies section defines the material properties and
behaviors for the background fluid and for the non-background fluids whose
convection or diffusion into the background fluid you want to analyze in a
multispecies analysis.
From the
Setup section of the
action bar,
click
Multispecies Section
.
Optional:
Enter a
Name for the multispecies section in the
dialog box.
By default, a multispecies section includes only two materials: a
background fluid and a non-background fluid; you analyze species transport for
the non-background fluids within the background fluid. You can add additional
non-background fluids to the section definition by clicking
Add Species.
Select the fluid domain by clicking the
glyph in the model.
Specify the
Background material by clicking
and searching for an appropriate material from the top bar.
Specify the second
Material definition by clicking
, then repeat the search process from the top bar. You can
also add additional materials to the section definition by clicking
and navigating to the new material you want to add.
Note:
To delete one of the species from the section definition, click
next to its row in the dialog box.
To complete the multispecies section definition, click
OK in the
dialog box.
To locate, edit, or delete the section, open the
Feature Manager
and right-click on the section name.
