From the Tools section of the action bar, click Utility
.
The Batch Monitor dialog box appears.

From the Utilities tab, double-click Migrate Thread Standard To XML in the Type column.
The Migrate Thread Standard To XML dialog box appears.

Click the folder icon in the Object Selection area.
The 3DVIA - Live File Connector Object Management dialog box appears.

In the Input Options area, click one of the following migration input types:
- Member: migrates an individual file (.txt).
- All: migrates an entire folder containing multiple files.
- String: migrates the file that contains a specified string. In this case, you must specify the string in the adjacent box first.
- Optional:
Select the Extend selection to sub-directories check box to search for all the sub-directories within a folder.
- Optional:
Select the Select by modification date check box to enable searching for files modified within a specific period.
- Optional: Select Replace documents to replace the previously migrated files with the same name.
- Optional: In the Rename Criteria area, select the appropriate options to rename the migrated files.
- Optional: In the Output Options area, click Change Target Directory to modify the location of the output files.
You can select appropriate check boxes to modify the output options.
- Click OK.
The Input Options dialog box closes and you are back to the MigrateThreadStandardToXML dialog box. The selected files are listed in the Name column. - In the Report area, select the appropriate options for report generation.
- Optional: Click Save to save the current options for migrating the .xml files.
This file can be used later on for a batch migration process, without the need of specifying the options again. - Click Run to start the migration operation.
- The migrated files are created in the specified directory.
- The reports are generated in the specified output directory.
- Optional: Open the report file to see a log of the migration activity.
If the migration fails, reasons of failure are indicated in this report.
