This section describes recent changes in the Bookmark Editor app.

Index Mode and Authoring Mode
You can now view the latest modification of your data by switching from index mode to authoring mode using the Index Mode icon.

You can turn on index mode from Preferences and select Use Index Mode.

Benefits: The index mode fetches the data and searches the objects quickly.
Access Bookmark Editor Widget through Web in Win
In the native apps, you can now access the Bookmark Editor widget through Web in Win using the Bookmark Browser command available in the tools section of the action bar.

The Bookmark Browser command is only available when a parent editor is opened.

Compare Structure command and Relations command are unavailable in CATIA V6.
Benefits: You can drag content from the bookmark browser to the app and vice versa.

You can add content from bookmark browser using command such as Insert Existing Objects, opened in the parent editor.

When working with multiple apps, you can open bookmark browser for each app to work simultaneously.
Bookmark Naming Convention
You can define a bookmark title and its name is automatically generated.
Benefits: You can also use special characters / " # $ @ % * , ? \ < > [ ] | : in the title of a bookmark.
Searching Objects in a Fixed Column
You can now search for objects in a fixed column using the Find in Context command.
Benefits: You can also search in multiple columns, selecting from the options available in Find in Context dialog box.
Extension Attributes
You can now create extensions on bookmark types (Workspace and Workspace Vault).

These extensions can be added on a bookmark object from the Properties tab, and are available on the bookmark object.

Specification Documents Tab and Attachments Tab
You can now add and manage specification documents, and reference documents associated with a physical product in the Specification Documents tab, and the Attachments tab respectively.
Benefits: You can store and access all the documents related to a physical product in the Bookmark Editor app.

Toolbar
The toolbar replaces the action bar of the Bookmark Editor app. You cannot view the bookmark and its contents in a graph view.
Benefits: The toolbar commands are context-sensitive, which means only the commands available for the selected object type are shown.

Create Revisions
When you revise an object attached to a bookmark, the original revision of the object is retained. New version of the object does not replace the original revision of the object.
Benefits: The original revision of the object is still attached to the bookmark until it is manually modified.
