Getting Contextual Help

You can open context-sensitive help for dashboard, native, or classic web apps.

Get Contextual Help for Dashboard Apps

You can open context-sensitive help for dashboard apps.

Point to an icon, and then click More Help at the bottom of the tooltip.

Tip: Pressing More Help also lets you access the UA panel, when available for the current app.

The corresponding page of user assistance for that command is displayed in another tab of the browser window, replacing the previous page if any.

Get Contextual Help for Native Apps

You can open context-sensitive help for native apps.

Before you begin: See Me > Preferences > Common Preferences > Deployment and Administration > Platform Access > Help for more information about how to customize options for the user assistance.
Select > Help, or press F1.

Tip: Pressing F1 also lets you access the UA panel, when available for the current app.

The corresponding page of user assistance for that command is displayed in your favorite browser.

Get Contextual Help for Classic Web Apps

You can open context-sensitive help for the classic web apps. The help opens the User Assistance portal for that topic, and you can navigate to any other available topic or use 3DSearch.

To open the help system, use one of these methods:

  • From the top bar, click
  • From the page toolbar of a tab or or a popup window, click Tools > Help
