From the Design section of the action bar, click Contact Flange Function .
The Contact Flange Function Definition dialog box is displayed.
Tip:
This dialog box is interactive: it is dynamically updated each time you modify an option to represent how the chosen options will influence the result. The blue star near the option name means that it is a mandatory input.
Select the Contact Surface on which the flange is created.
Optional:
Select the Intersection Fillet that defines a constant
fillet at the intersection of the contact flange and the main input.
Optional: Define a Clearance, i.e. a constant offset between the contact
surface and the contact flange feature.
Optional: Select the Consider thickness option in the case the offset operation is not necessary so as to link the created function to SFS thickness properties.
Note:
This link can be seen in using the Parents-Children command.
Click OK to create the contact flange.
The element (identified as Contact Flange Function) is added to thetree.
