any other 3D symbol |
- The 2D fastener symbol is visualized in the 2D drawing document view according to its 3D graphic symbol and providing it is in Show and its 3D technological symbol is visualized. It is made of a support, a mark and an optional fill color.
-
In case the 3D spot fastener symbol has a mark, this mark is generated in the drafting view:
=> 3D spot symbol mark generated 2D spot symbol mark -
In case the 3D spot fastener symbol has a color, this color is generated in the drafting view:
=> 3D spot symbol mark generated 2D spot symbol mark - You can add 2D symbols to the 2D technological fastener symbol to display other fastener parameters (such as assembly type, head type, etc.):
2D symbol Name Symbol 1 Symbol 2 Symbol 3 Symbol 4 Symbol 5 - The 2D fastener representation is located on the projection of the 3D fastener location. It is not oriented in the drawing view, i.e. the fastener axis system (I, J, K) is not taken account.
=> Notes:- The reference drawing representation contains only unitary 2D components (2D color symbol, 2D support symbol, 2D mark symbol and 2D additional symbols).
- The 2D fastener representation is generated (depending on drafting extraction parameters) provided that the fastener location is included into the result generated view. In this case, the entire 2D representation is represented. Conversely, if the spot fastener location is not included in the resulting drafting view, the associated 2D representation is not generated at all (there is no partial representation of 2D symbol).
- Symbols can be stored using the Data Setup app. For more information, see the Data Setup User's Guide.
