Fastening

Fastening is a native app dedicated to the design of fasteners across all industries. It supports the modernization of various types of fasteners: spot single, spot assembly, bead fasteners, etc. The technological view of fasteners can be defined to specify if the fastener is based on welds, bolts, modeling, etc. Navigation tools let you analyze millions of fastening links among others and powerful commands let you quickly get an overall and accurate analysis of fasteners and fastened parts.

Fastening Capabilities

For each general fastening technology, specific fastening process codes along with their matching relevant parameters can be set up in a standard file. This file can be fully customized by the customer, according to company or industry-specific standards requirements. Each fastener is modeled as a unitary object fastener and is integrated in the search, lifecycle and configuration capabilities.

Fasteners have joined a zone where the parts that are fastened are specified. You can create, edit, and delete fasteners. In addition, flat reports can be generated from the app to list the data that can be imported to a neutral ASCII text format, providing opening with customer legacy systems.

The Fastening app is not compatible with the Offline mode.

Fastener Review Capabilities

An industrial assembly can contain thousands of fasteners. As fasteners can be managed in large amounts in the product structures, reviewers need to rely on powerful tools to control the fastening robustness. Fastener Review is a dedicated app that facilitates the design review of all of these fasteners.

Fastener Review is useful for:

  • The design review of the fasteners and the fastened parts
  • The construction of work session from the fasteners and the fastened parts
  • The impact analysis related to any modification of the fasteners or assembled parts design.
