Applying Annotation to Several Geometrical Elements

You can apply an existing annotation to several geometrical elements of a 3D shape.


Before you begin:
  • Open an existing 3D shape.
  • Improve the highlight of the related geometry by selecting Highlight faces and edges in Selection.

  1. From the Annotation section of the action bar, click Apply separately several times .
  2. Select an annotation.


  3. Select the required features to apply the selected annotation to them.
    In the Apply separately dialog box, selected features and their validity are listed.
  4. Select Automatic selection option to select the features automatically.

    You have below choices based on the annotation selected:

    • All faces
    • Planar faces
    • Cylindrical faces
    • Spherical faces
    • Non-canonical faces
    • Fillet faces: You can specify the radius value

    The annotation is now applied to the selected features.



    Important: In the tree, a symbol appears on the node of the annotation selected while applying it to several geometrical elements.

  5. Right-click the annotation applied to the several elements and Annotation Application Mode > Apply Once.
    The annotation is applied only on the first selected element while creating the annotation.
