Tolerancing Body in White Surface

You can create geometrical tolerances on a body in white surface.


Before you begin: Open an existing 3D representation.

  1. Right-click a capture and select Set Current.
  2. Select the datum reference frame A|B|C in the Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box if needed.
  3. Select the surface as shown on the part.


    The Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box is updated.

  4. Click Profile-of-Surface Specification .

    The Geometrical Tolerance dialog box appears.

  5. Set the numerical value to 0.5 mm.
  6. Select the Tolerance Zone tab and select the Unequally disposed tolerance zone (UZ)Tolerance check box.
  7. Click OK.

    The geometrical tolerance is created.

    The geometrical tolerance is created in the tree.

  8. Right-click the capture and select Unset Current.
  9. Click Close in the Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box.
