Creating Framed (Basic) Dimensions Automatically

You can create framed (basic) dimensions automatically from the selected context.


Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape.

Creating Framed (Basic) Dimensions
  1. From the Annotation section of the action bar, click Framed (Basic) Dimension .
  2. Select the Pattern Location.x geometrical tolerance.



    The Framed (Basic) Dimensions Management dialog box appears.

    Important:
    • The Automatic Creation button is available according to the context.
    • If the selected geometrical tolerance is created on either a rectangular or a circular pattern, the two pattern options are also available:
      • Rectangular pattern

      • Cylindrical pattern

  3. Click Cylindrical pattern and then click Automatic Creation in the Framed (Basic) Dimensions Management dialog box.
    If the Cylindrical pattern and Rectangular pattern options are not available, you can directly click Automatic Creation.

    The dialog box is updated.

    The validity of each converted annotation is checked.

    Framed (basic) dimensions are created with their related construction geometries.



  4. Click OK.
