Sorting Features in the Tree Alphabetically

You can sort features in the tree alphabetically.

You can sort:

  • All the content of a node by right-clicking this node and selecting the Sort command.
  • Some elements in a node by right-clicking one of those selected and selecting the Selected objects > Sort command.

    Once these elements sorted, they will be placed from the first element of the selection displaying in the tree.

Important: This command is only applicable for the following features:
  • View/Annotation planes.
  • Datums.
  • Datum Targets.
  • Tolerancing Captures

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape containing 3D Tolerancing & Annotation features.

  1. Expand the Views node in the tree.
  2. Right-click the Views node in the tree and select Views object > Sort .
    Views are sorted alphabetically under the Views node in the tree.
