Expression Rules Page

The Expression Rules page shows the expression rules defined for a model version.

To access this page:

  1. View the Variability Rules page for the model version. See Variability Rules Page.
  2. Select the Expression Rules page tab.

Columns

Column Name Description
Title The title of the expression rule. Initially this is the same value as the automatically generated name, but it can be edited.
Name The name of the expression rule. This value is sequentially numbered and unique, so it cannot be edited.
Owner The person who is responsible for the rule.
Edit Click to define or edit the rule's expression.

If the appears instead of , it means that you cannot edit the expression rule because either it or its parent model version is in a frozen state.

State The current lifecycle state of the rule.
Expression Type The type of expression that defines this rule: Boolean
Type The type of rule: Configuration Rule

Create Expression Rule Creates an expression rule for the model version.

Expression rules must be created before a model version reaches the Review state.

Creating an Expression Rule
Remove Removes the selected expression rule from this model version.
Note: You can remove an expression rule from a specific model version without affecting other revisions or derivations of the model version.
