Creating a Publication on a Volume

You can create a publication on a volume defined by a partition.

Before you begin: Ensure you are in a product context and create a part containing a partition. See Partitioning the Design Space.
  1. From the Tools section of the action bar, click Publication .
  2. In the context toolbar, click Volume Filter .
  3. Select the volume.
  4. In the Publication dialog box, enter a name for the publication.

    By default, the name of the published element is given.

  5. Click OK.
    The publication appears in the tree, under the Publications node.
