Publishing to a City Navigation Experience

You can publish your experiences to City navigation experiences, which are stored in the 3DGlobe service. Navigation experiences can then be played through City Play.

Before you begin:
  • Prepared datasets must be visible.
  • Published experiences cannot be removed.
  • It is recommended to first restart an experience from scratch (through Reset City Experience ) before publishing it.

  1. Make sure that prepared datasets have been published. You can do so either:
    • When creating prepared datasets by selecting the Publish Dataset option in the dataset creation dialog box. See an example with Creating Trees.
    • Or, after the dataset creation through the City Referential panel.

Important: The publication of a dataset cannot be reversed.

  2. From the Experience section of the action bar, click Publish City Experience .
  3. Depending on the state of the datasets contained in the experience, you can either:
    • Enter the name of the experience to be published in the Publish City Experience on 3DGlobe dialog box, and then click OK.
    • Or, if some datasets need to be removed, set as visible, or published, take the required actions listed in the Publish City Experience on 3DGlobe dialog box.

Any item potentially included in the experience and which cannot be published must be removed from the experience.

  4. Optional: Select the Publish as default for referential "referential_name" option to set the experience as the default navigation experience for the selected referential.

Only one experience can be set as the default for each referential.

The City navigation experience is published and contains only raw prepared datasets (that is, datasets without any customization).
