Creating Routing Networks

You can create routing datasets containing the description of a routing network (for example, pedestrian routes, or routing used by cars). This network is not visible through the 3D view but is used for routing algorithms.

You can then query this routing to perform journey calculation, and compute isochrones (areas accessible in a specified time range). For more information, see City Discover: Diagnosing the Urban Environmnent: Managing Routing Networks.

About Datasets
  1. From the Referential section of the action bar, click Create Routing Network .
  2. From 3DSpace or 3DSearch, drag the appropriate file onto the "drop source data here" zone displayed on the referential.
  3. In the Dataset Name box, enter the name of the routing dataset.
  4. Click OK.
A pop-up message informs you when the creation is successful and the City Referential panel opens (this is the case whenever a dataset is created).
  5. To delete a routing dataset, right-click it in the Available Routing datasets area, and then select Delete Dataset.
