Heart Model Import and Execution

The 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher installs the Heart Model when you connect to a Dassault Systèmes cloud server and select the Living Heart Human Model Content (LHM) role.

App and Content Installation

When you connect to a Dassault Systèmes cloud server and select the Living Heart Human Model Content (LHM) role from the Compass, you can start the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher and do the following:

  • Select Install now to install the Mechanical Scenario Creation app.
  • Select Install optional content now to install the Heart Model content files. For more information about installing optional content, see 3DEXPERIENCE Native Apps Content.

The installer copies the Heart Model files to the cloud repository, and you can import the files from there into the collaborative space.

Heart Model Files

The tables below list the Heart Model files that are available for import and execution.

Table 1. Model Files
File Name Description
<release_number>_Living_Heart_Simulation_Object.3dxml 3D XML file containing a physics simulation object
<release_number>_Cloud_LivingHeartCloudExecutionExperience.3dxml 3D XML file containing a simulation experience for creating a process for cloud execution of the model. For more information, see The Heart Model Simulation Processes.
Table 2. Additional Content
File Name Description
README-LivingHeart.txt Readme file that contains model information and legal notices
LivingHeartDoc.zip User guide for the 3DEXPERIENCE 2022x Heart Model: Living-Heart-Human-Model-Documentation-3DEXPERIENCE2022x.pdf

3D XML files of the Heart Model are not compatible between different releases. Use the same release to import the 3D XML files for the Heart Model as you do to run the Heart Model.

Heart Model Execution

You can import the Heart Model into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform from the 3D XML files. The import operation creates the following 3DEXPERIENCE objects:

  • A physics simulation object. The object contains the parts and assembly along with the model and scenario definition, such as the meshes, material properties, simulation steps, loads, boundary conditions, and output requests. You can import this file as many times as required.
  • A simulation experience. Instantiating the experience creates the Heart Model simulation process that contains the steps required to prepare the Heart Model for analysis. The process also starts the analysis on the selected 3DOrchestrate Station. Only one copy of the experience should exist on the 3DSpace server.

To run the Heart Model, you can do either of the following:

  • Run the Living Heart Simulation Solve command from Mechanical Scenario Creation, and select the simulation template containing the Living Heart Model simulation process. The first time you run the Living Heart Simulation Solve command, it instantiates the selected template and executes the simulation process that is generated. The solve command then instantiates the template only if you select a new template; otherwise, the command skips the instantiation and executes the simulation process that was instantiated previously.
Note: The Living Heart Simulation Solve command is available only if you are logged into a Dassault Systèmes cloud server and have selected the Living Heart Human Model Content (LHM) role.
  • Search for the simulation process that was generated by instantiating the simulation template, and run the process from within Automation Process Composer.
