    The Hanger Instantiation panel appears.
  2. In the Selected Hanger box, select a hanger.
Note: You can click Catalog Browser or Library Browser to select a hanger.

The name of hanger appears in the Selected Hanger box. The Support Input and Attach Input frames expand listing the required inputs.

Important: The support and attach inputs varies depending on the selected hanger.
  3. Select the support and attach inputs.

The Support Input and Attach Input frames display the reference type of the inputs.

  4. Under Parameters, modify the value.
  5. Optional: Under Port Editor, define the entry and exit ports.
    1. Under Entry Plane Elements, click Add.
    2. In the Port Location dialog box, specify the entry point location and select the base plane.
    3. Click .

      You can create several ports.

To modify or delete any port element or port reference, select the required row and click Modify or Delete respectively.

    4. Under Exit Plane, enter the offset.

A plane is created and the name of the plane is displayed.

Important: The exit plane is shared between all the ports and is always parallel to the head axis plane.
  6. Click to validate the inputs.
A progress bar appears. The hangers are instantiated and placed in the assembly.

Note: You can select predefined values of the parameters in the list, if you have defined an engineering template for them.
Tips:
  • You can select predefined values of the parameters in the list if you have defined an engineering template for them.
  • You can multi-instantiate a hanger in the assembly. To do so, you can either select multiple inputs or create multiple parameters.
  • If the name of the input has _Multi suffix, you can select multiple inputs.
  • To create multiple parameters, click to add sub-parameters to the parameter node. You can modify the value of each sub-parameter. Click to delete the sub-parameter.
