Create a Text Template
- Open your 2D symbols representation in the Drafting app.

From the context menu, select New Detail Sheet to create a new detail view.
A detail sheet is added.

Right-click the detail sheet, select Properties and rename the detail sheet to TT_Detail. Similarly, rename the component to PartText.
Note: The names you choose here are not important, however they can help to identify the components of the representation.
- From the Annotation section of the action bar, select Text Template and click at the desired position on the drawing.The Text Editor dialog box appears and the Insert Link Template dialog box appears over the tree.

Name the template.
The name you give to the template, for instance XXX, will be used to establish the link with Generative View Styles (GVS).
Note: In GVS, HVAC Part > TextTemplate > TextTemplateName must be set to the same value of XXX chosen in this step. - Select the correct HVAC Package and the Type.For example, Package = HVAC Physical and Type = HVAC Part (any type).The attributes for the selected Type are listed lower down in the dialog box.
- Select an attribute, select a value for Display and click Insert.The attribute is added to the Text Editor dialog box and to the text on the drawing.
- Repeat the previous step, adding attributes, until you are satisfied with the result and click OK in the Text Editor dialog box.Note: You can add multiple attributes from different packages.
For example:
[Rigid Duct extension.Length] [PLMCoreInstance.Name]
- Optional: To adjust text font, font size, justification, etc., right-click the text on the drawing and select Properties.

Click Share > Save > Save with Options.
Your changes are saved to the PLM database.
