Create a Branch from an Existing Route
You can create a branch from a route.

From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, click Create Route
.
You switch to the HVAC 3D Part Design app and a yellow symbol appears on each node of the route.
- Click the route where you want to branch the other route.

In the context toolbar, click
Branch .
A preview of the branch appears.

From the Branch dialog box, select one of the available modes:
- Rigid: creates a route port.
- Flexible: creates a point on the contextual design of the main route.
- Curved: creates two points on the contextual design of the main route.
- According to the selected mode, select the options of your choice.For more information about the available options, see About Creating a Branch from and to an Existing Route.
- Optional: Select Inverse Direction to inverse the direction of the branch.

Manipulate the preview to position the route.
- Drag the arrows at the base of the preview to position the route at the location of your choice.
- Click the first part of the preview and drag it to modify the angle between the main route and the branch. In case of noncircular shape, the preview is allowed only in steps of 90° and the branch is created and oriented to match the height and width of the main route.
- Click the second part of the preview and drag it to modify the orientation of the route.
You can also press the Space key and enter a value.
- Drag the Create Point manipulator to create the route.
The branch is created.
