This section deals with basic concepts you should know before beginning with modeling shapes.

Modeling Shapes

A set of geometry elements can be globally modeled by modifying a selected or an automatically created reference. The elements to be modified must be projectable onto the reference. The relative position to the reference will be kept.

An automatically created reference is always a surface. Its position an alignment can be defined. The automatically created reference is updated if additional geometry is selected.

The following combinations are available for modeling shapes:

Modeling of a set of curves using a curve as reference

Modeling of a set of curves using a surface as reference

Modeling of a set of surfaces using a curve as reference

Modeling of a set of surfaces using a surface as reference

The model should contain a set of surfaces representing a logo and a surface as reference.
