Using Auxiliary Views with the Selection Table

From a selection table, you can open an auxiliary viewer showing only the selected element.

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape containing overlapping surfaces.

  1. Select a surface overlapping with other surfaces.


  2. In the selection table, if not selected, click Auxiliary Viewer .
    The Auxiliary Viewer panel opens. It shows only the selected surface. The pick point on the selected surface is set to the panel center. In the work area, the selected surface is highlighted.

  3. In the work area, change the view and in the Auxiliary Viewer panel, click .
    The view in the Auxiliary Viewer panel is synchronized with the view in the work area.
  4. In the Auxiliary Viewer panel, click Restore initial view .
    The view in the panel is reset to the initial view.
  5. Click Reframe to enlarge selected elements to fill the panel.
    Note: This also works with multi-selection.
  6. Click Fit all in set the zoom level to display all visible objects in the panel.
