Uninstalling Native Apps

This tasks explains how to uninstall native apps.

Native apps are uninstalled using the DS Installer. Uninstall via the Control Panel

This task explains how to uninstall the software using the Control Panel.

Prior to removing the software, you must remove any user environments you may have created after the initial installation using the tools described in Configuring Environments.

Note: You are not able to selectively uninstall a component.

  1. On the Windows desktop, select the Start > Control Panel Programs>Uninstall a Program.
  2. In the list of software products, double-click the item, for example Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x.

    A dialog box prompts you to confirm that you want to uninstall the software.

    Click Yes to confirm.

All the installed components will be removed. The program removes:

  • the installation folder
  • all desktop items: environment icon, all entries in the Start > All Programs menu
  • all registry entries.

You may be prompted to kill any running processes which are using the version you are uninstalling.

Note that the following principal components are not removed:

  • The fonts installed with the software
  • Any system libraries installed to update your system
  • Certain registry keys (for external partners software)
  • User and administrator settings.

Note also that:

  • 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher
  • Dassault Systèmes - VBA 7.1
  • Dassault Systèmes Software VC10/VC11/VC12 prerequisites
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications 2017
  • Microsoft Windows Media Video 9 VCM

should be removed only once you have uninstalled all Dassault Systèmes software.

Uninstall in Command Line Mode

You can also uninstall in batch mode by executing a command file.

  1. Open a Command Prompt window with elevated privileges.
  2. Go to the installation directory.

    The installation directory is, for example, by default:

    C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B424

  3. Enter one of the following commands:

    Command Description
    Uninstall.bat GUI Launches the GUI-based uninstall program, and prompts you to confirm that you want to proceed to uninstallation.
    Uninstall.batLaunches the uninstall program in TUI mode, prompts you to answer at least the question, and prompts you to confirm that you want to proceed to uninstallation.
    Uninstall.bat -quietLaunches the uninstall program in silent mode, assumes you answer OK to all questions, and uninstalls the software
    Uninstall.bat -hDisplays help
