Set Up Transfer of Item Numbers to Balloon Number

You can set up the transfer of item numbers defined in the Structured and First Level parts list to the Balloon Number's attribute on the Associated Drawing relationship in Connector for Inventor.

Note: To enable balloon number transfers for second level children, the parts-list must be defined on drawings of those children.

The following settings must be done to enable transfer of item numbers to balloon numbers:

Balloon numbers are mapped in the GCO attribute, MCADInteg-CADToMxRelAttribMapping.
Copy Relationship Attribute option is selected in Checkin preferences. For more information, see Setting Preferences.

Using MQL, specify the following mapping for MCADInteg-CADToMxRelAttribMapping to set up the transfer of balloon numbers of a parts list using the following MQL command:

modify bus <Bus ID of GCO> MCADInteg-CADToMxRelAttribMapping CADDrawing,balloonnumbers|Associated Drawing,Balloon Numbers;

Upon transfer, balloon numbers are stored on the relationship between the drawing and assembly.

Important: For Inventor, balloon numbers are not transferred for the following relationships:

Drawing to component.
Drawing to iPart.

Set Up Balloon Number Synchronization to Find Number

You can synchronize the item numbers to Find Numbers on EBOM relationship when you synchronize the EBOM.

To set up the transfer of item numbers to find numbers upon synchronization, mapping must be set for one of the following attributes:

IEF-EBOMSync-MandatoryRelAttrMapping
IEF-EBOMSync-RelAttrMapping

In MQL, search for the required EBOM Sync Config object of type MCAD-EBOMSyncConfig.
Specify the following mapping in IEF-EBOMSync-MandatoryRelAttrMapping or IEF-EBOMSync-RelAttrMapping:
modify bus <Bus ID of GCO> IEF-EBOMSync-MandatoryRelAttrMapping Associated Drawing|Balloon Numbers|EBOM|Find Number;
