In the Inventor toolbar, select 3DEXPERIENCE > .
The 3DEXPERIENCE New dialog box appears.
- Enter the following details for the design:
- In the Templates area, select a template. The Attribute area lists
the attributes of the selected template.
The attributes that are displayed in the Attributes area depends on the attributes mapped by your administrator. You can edit the value of the attributes. To edit, click the attribute value under the value column and modify the values.
- In the Name text box, type a name for the design, or select the Autoname check box and select the naming series from the list. If any custom series specific to a type is defined, the Autoname list shows the custom series when an object of that type is selected. For example, if N Size is defined as the custom series for the CAD Drawing type, N Size is displayed in the Autoname list when types derived from the CAD Drawing type (such as
INV Drawing Template
) are selected as the template type. Note:
Selecting the Autoname check box disables the
Name field.

Click OK.
The template file is downloaded to the checkout directory and opened in the current Inventor session.

You can define the checkout directory in
the
Global
Preferences.

The specified attributes with their values are stamped on the document.
If a drawing is created, then it is automatically related to the designs active in Inventor.
