Defining Simulation Specifications

Excitations, probes, kinematics scenario, dynamics scenario, and user sets are specifications that constitute a simulation.

  • You can create excitations that determine how the joints in a mechanism behave during the simulation.
  • You can create probes that track distances and angles, and detect clashes between two products during the simulation.
  • You can create a kinematics or dynamics scenario and modify the scenario parameters (start time, end time, and time step values).
  • You can create a kinematics or dynamics scenario with flexible components.
  • You can copy a scenario from a simulation, paste it into the same simulation, and modify the conditions.
  • You can use user sets to help you manage a large number of objects in the tree.
