Adding and Removing Charts

You can add an empty chart in a plot. You can also add charts that belong to the current simulation and charts that belong to another simulation. You can also remove a chart from a plot.


Before you begin: An XY plot must be open.

Modifying Plot Displays
  1. To add an empty chart, right-click anywhere in the plot window, and select Edit > Add Empty Chart.
    A new empty chart is added to the plot.
  2. To add a chart that belongs to the current simulation:
    1. Right-click anywhere in the plot window, and select Edit > Add Chart.
      The Add Chart dialog box appears and displays the list of the charts contained in the current simulation.
    2. Select the chart you want to add.
    3. Click OK.
    The selected chart is added.
  3. To add a chart that is contained in another simulation:
    1. Right-click anywhere in the plot window, and select Edit > Add External Chart.
    2. Search for a simulation that contains the chart you want to add using one of the following tabs:

      • From Search to select a simulation from all the simulations stored in the database.
      • From Session to select a simulation from the simulations already loaded in your session.

      The List dialog box appears.
    3. Select a chart in the list, and click OK.
    The selected chart is added to the plot.
  4. To remove a chart, right-click the chart and select Edit > Remove Chart.

    Note: The Remove Chart option is available only if the plot contains at least two charts.

    The selected chart is removed.
