The advantages of using the Slab Opening function are:
- Makes slab openings without walls.
- Cuts only the slab and not walls whereas shafts cut both.
- Gives you the ability to use a single closed sketch to create slab opening on various non-contiguous floors, for example 1st, 4th, and 5th. Shafts start on one floor and go up to as many contiguous floors as desired.
- Provides the capability to make either an inner or perimeter slab opening cut.
When you create a slab opening on multiple stories, the function copies the slab opening sketch to each specified story and creates a unique slab opening on each of these stories. To edit these slab openings, you must edit each slab opening separately.
