Administration Roadmap

The Device Master Record Management app is not supported with the 3D EXPERIENCE Deployment Experience.

To implement Device Master Record Management on-premises, you must first install the 3DEXPERIENCE platform as described in Installation and Administration: 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Collaboration and Approvals is part of 3DSpace, which is installed as part of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

The table below contains a list of supporting components that need to be installed and configured along with a reference for more information. For Device Master Record Management tasks, the table provides cross references to the sections of this guide that describe those steps and options.

Install or upgrade Device Master Record Management.

Install or upgrade and these required or optional apps in the following order:

  1. Engineering BOM Management
  2. Manufacturing BOM Management (Optional)
  3. Device Master Record Management
Note: Manufacturing BOM Management is optional and can be installed before or after installing Device Master Record Management.

If upgrading, migrate the necessary data.

Migration > Data Migration in the Program Directory.

Configure to reflect your business processes.
If necessary, configure triggers for to reflect your business processes:
  • Turn off triggers that you do not want.
  • Change parameters passed to trigger programs, as needed.
