Reviewing Routing and Allocations in the 3D View

This section describes how to view the routing status of all pathway segments and the allocation status of all equipment centers and space volumes.

This information is presented as color coded highlights in the 3D view of your system.

Before you begin:
  1. Create or open a logical description of your system with logical components, logical connections, shapes and pathways.
  2. Click to change the active view to 3D (the robot is visible when the active view is 3D).

  1. From the Compass, click Information Intelligence Apps .
    The B.I. Essentials panel appears.
  2. In the list, select 3D Architecture: Network and Allocation Analyzer.

The routing / allocation status of all pathway segments, equipment centers and space volumes is displayed as color coded highlights in the 3D view of your system.

The key to the color highlights is shown in the legend.

  3. Select a pathway segment, an equipment center or a space volume to see more information about its status:

An information label appears which provides a summary of the 3D network allocations to the shape.

This legend in the information label...Indicates that for a
    Pathway Segment...Equipment Center...Space Volume...
Connected It is connected at each end. It is connected to a pathway segment.-
Partially ConnectedIt is connected at one end only.--
Not ConnectedIt is not connected to any other object. It is not connected to any other object.-
Has RoutablesIt is used as a route by at least one routable object.--
Has no RoutableIt is not used as a route by any routable objects.--
Allocated-It has at least one logical component allocated to it.It has at least one logical component allocated to it.
Has no Allocation-It does not have any logical components allocated to it.It does not have any logical components allocated to it.
  4. For additional information about the routable objects or the connected objects, in the information label, click .
    An immersive window appears.

This window gives you the capability to quickly review the list of routable objects for instance and see the routing attributes (Segregation, User length, Routed length) at a glance.

  5. Right-click an item in this list and select:
    • Center Tree to highlight the object in the tree, in 2D graph, and in the work area.
    • Reframe On to focus on the selected object; it is centered in the application window, in the 3D view.
    • Follow to switch to the selected item in 2D graph and make it the new system review starting point.
  6. When done, click anywhere in the work area.
