Library Classes and Subclasses Lists

People with the Library User roles can list classified items by navigating the hierarchy from the library level, or from the class level in general classes by using the search menu to find general classes.

You can list classes (and subclasses) in a general library.

You must have the Library User role to view or work with classes.

To access this page:

  1. Click the Compass and select IP Classification.
  2. From the left side menu, click > > Library > Libraries.
  3. Click the Name of a general library. The classes list opens for that library.

Columns

To view subclasses for a general library, click Categories > Subclasses.

Column Name Description
Title Title of the class or document family.
Type The type or subtype of the class: General Class or Document Family.
Name Name of the class or document family. Click to view the list of items in the class, or documents in the document family.
Description Details about the class.
State The current state of the class or document family in its lifecycle.
Classification Path List of the class hierarchy. Click any name to view the contents of that class.


Opens the list of items in the class in a new window.
