Moving Objects to Another Collaborative Space or Organization

You can move objects to another collaborative space and organization, including products, folders, and documents.

For example, you may need to move objects when people change job roles or, when one part of a design has been completed, an object might need to be released to a new owner so they can begin their work.

You can also change the owner of the selected objects during the operation.

Important:
  • Only the selected revision is moved.
  • When Folder Content is checked, only the first level of propagation is done on the selected object.

For more information, see About Moving Content.

Required access roles: Reader, Contributor, Author, Leader, Owner. For more information, see Collaborative Lifecycle Access to Content.

Before you begin:
  • Unlock the objects you want to move. For more information, see Locking and Unlocking Objects.
  • You must have ownership rights for the objects you intend to move.
