About Creating a Multi-Plane Section View Associative to a Profile

You can generate a drawing from the modifiable multi-plane section views.

After generating the drawing, if you modify the multi-plane section view by modifying the section profile, the already generated drawing view will be synchronized to reflect the changes. This synchronization is performed during the drawing view update.

In generated drawing views, all 2D callouts are copied as isolated callouts. The callout texts and geometry has no relation with the corresponding section. The generated callouts are removed and recreated during each update.

When creating an offset or an aligned section view/cut, it is possible to directly select circular geometries and detect some specific constraints which help creating profiles going through these geometries (mostly representing holes). According to the type of profile to be created (offset or aligned), the detected constraints are different.

Offset Section View/Cut

While creating an offset profile going through the circular geometries, a few scenarios are possible as explained below:

Scenario	Result
When the first point of the profile has not yet been selected and a circle is selected:	A semi-infinite dotted line is displayed, going through the center of the circle, and following the pointer position, which can then be moved around. It corresponds to the first point of the profile that will be created on a click. The pointer is then constrained to move on the line defined by the first created point and the circle center. The second point of the profile is created on a click.
When the first point of the profile has not yet been created and two circles are selected in a row:	A semi-infinite dotted line is displayed, going through the center of both circles, and following the pointer position. It corresponds to the first point of the profile that will be created on a click. The pointer is then constrained to move on the line defined by the center of both circles. The second point of the profile is created on a click.
When the first point of the profile has already been created and a circle is selected:	The pointer is constrained to move on the line defined by the first created point and the circle center. The second point of the profile is created on a click.
When at least one point of the profile has already been created, and two circles are selected in a row:	The next point of the profile is automatically created, as well as the next perpendicular segment of the profile.
When at least two points of the profile have already been created and a circle is selected:	A semi-infinite dotted line is displayed, going through the center of the circle, perpendicular to the previous segment, starting from the intersection with this segment and following the pointer position, which can then be moved around.

Aligned Section View/Cut

While creating an aligned profile going through the circular geometries, a few scenarios are possible as explained below:

Scenario	Result
When the first point of the profile has not yet been created and a circle is selected:	A dotted line segment is displayed, starting from the center of the circle, and following the pointer position, which can be moved around. It corresponds to the first point of the profile that will be created on a click. The second point of the profile is automatically created in coincidence with the circle's center.
When the first point of the profile has not yet been created and two circles are selected in a row:	A dotted line segment is displayed, going through the center of both circles, starting from the second circle's center and following the pointer position. It corresponds to the first point of the profile that will be created on a click. The second point of the profile is automatically created in coincidence with the second circle's center.
When the first profile point has already been created and a circle is selected:	The second point of the profile is automatically created in coincidence with the circle's center.
