Offsetting 2D Elements

You can offset 2D elements that are created in a view.

Important:

Offset 2D elements are not linked with original 2D elements, and no Offset objetc is created in the tree.

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape representation containing a layout with a sheet and a view.

  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Offset .
    The Tools Palette appears.
  2. Select a 2D element.
    The Tools Palette is updated.
  3. Type the offset value in the Offset box and press Enter.
    A new offset 2D element of the same type as the original 2D element is created.
