Hazard Reduction Options

This page shows the standard pre-created options that can be applied in reducing hazard risk during the Reduction process.

To access this page:

  1. View the properties for a hazard. See Hazard Properties Page.
  2. In the navigation pane for the hazard, click Reduction Options.

Columns

Column NameDescription
OptionThe risk reduction option. Typically, this is an option to ensure safety or provide a protective measure.
MeasureThe control measure taken. A free-text area.
Implementation PracticableWhether the control measure can be put into practice successfully.
Implementation VerificationThe state of the control measure's verification.
Effectiveness VerificationVerification of the control measure's effectiveness.
Residual RiskThe risk remaining after the control measure is taken.
Residual Risk Disclosure InformationSafety information to be disclosed for a residual risk.
Residual Risk Disclosure VerificationVerification of the residual risk disclosure.
Generates HazardWhether the mitigation of the current hazard generates any new hazards.

Enable Edit Lets you inline edit all fields for a reduction option. This includes the Mass Update feature for applying the same value to a column for all options. The edit action is available only if the context user is either the owner of the hazard or is a project member having project lead access on any of the design projects associated with the product.--
