Task Assignees Page

This page lists those people assigned to a task. A task can have none, one, or many assignees. This page is also used when assigning members to a task ("Assign To" in the page Actions menu for a task)

To access this page:

In the project schedule, click a task name. In the navigation pane, click Assignees.

Columns

Column NameDescription

User Name

The person's last and first name. Click to view the Properties page for that user.

Email

The person's email address. To send the person an email, click the address.

Company

The person's company.
Assignee RoleThe person's role in completing the task: Task Owner, Task Assignee, or Task Reviewer. All roles can view and edit the same information about the task. The role is simply a designation that describes the person's responsibility. Note that the Task Owner role is different from the true owner for the task. For example, the owner can be added as an assignee and given a role of Task Assignee, Task Reviewer, or Task Owner. Additionally, a person can be given the role "Task Owner" without being made the true task owner.
% AllocationThe percentage of the person's time dedicated to the task.

Add

Searches for people to add as assignees to this task. After selecting the people, click Done. The assignees are added with a role of Task Assignee. If a task is beyond the Draft state, the system sends notifications to the assignees immediately. If a task is in Draft, the notifications are sent when the task is promoted to To Do.--

Remove Selected

Removes an assignee from the task; click OK to confirm.--
Assign as Task OwnerAssigns the selected person as the task owner.--
Edit Allows you to change the Assignee Role and % Allocation.--
