Fields


Section Name	Field Name	Description
Basic	Owner	Name of the control owner.
	Receipt Date	Date the control was created.
	Modification Date	Date the control was last modified.
	Status	State of the control. Possible states are In Process, Review, Verified, and Complete.
Additional Information	Impacted item	Name of the impacted item for which the product control is created.
	Entry Type	Entry type of the control. Possible types are Bounding, Incident, and Pending Bounding.
	Work Order #	Assigned work order number.
	Lot Number	Lot number of the control.
	Run Number	Run number of the control.
	Hold Location	The physical location of the impacted item reported in the control. Possible values are Distribution Center, Finished Goods, In Process, and Incoming Raw Materials.
	Total Qty	Total quantity of the impacted item in a batch.
	Total Qty UOM	Unit of measure of the total quantity.
	Defective Qty	Quantity of defective impacted items.
	Defective Qty UOM	Unit of measure of the defective quantity.
	Sample Qty	Quantity taken as sample for the quality check.
	Sample Qty UOM	Unit of measure of the sample quantity.
	Defect %	Percentage of defective impacted item with respect to the total quantity.
	Item Code	Part number or code assigned to the impacted item reported in the NC.
	Item Description	Description of the impacted item reported.
	Completion Date	Date the control is promoted to the Complete state.
Disposition	Proposed Disposition	Proposed method to dispose the defective impacted item.
	Instructions	Instructions to dispose the defective impacted item.
	Rationale	Reason to dispose the defective impacted item.

Actions


Action	Description
Submit To Review	Promotes the control from the In Process state to the Review state. Note: Ensure the following: You must be a Quality Manager or the owner of the control with Quality Manager or Complaint Investigator role. The control must be in the In Process state.
Verify	Verifies the information provided in the control and promotes it to the Verified state. Note: Ensure the following: You must be a Quality Manager or the owner of the control with Complaint Investigator role. The control must be in the Review state. Provide necessary information in the Proposed Disposition and Rationale fields.
Complete	Completes the control. Note: Ensure the following: You must be a Quality Manager or the owner of the control with Complaint Investigator role. The control must be in the Verified state. You must close controls of type Incident before you close controls of types Bounding and Pending Bounding.
Edit	Activates edit mode in which you can modify the Impacted item, Entry Type, Work Order #, Lot Number, Hold Location, Total Qty, Total Qty UOM, Defective Qty, Defective Qty UOM, Sample Qty, Sample Qty UOM, Item Code, and Item Description fields. Click Done to save the changes. Note: Ensure the following: NC users can modify all the listed fields in the In Process state. Quality Manager s and Complaint Investigators can modify all the listed fields in the In Process, Review, and the Verified state. Quality Manager s and Complaint Investigators can modify the Run Number field in the In Process, Review, and the Verified state. Complaint Investigators can modify the Proposed Disposition, Instructions, and Rationale fields in the Review and the Verified state.
