Modifying Events

If you want to add more information to or update the details of an event, you can modify it. You can modify details such as event confirmation, timing, description, date of occurrence, experience code, and issue code.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin:
  • You must be the complaint owner, event originator, or quality manager.
  • Ensure that the complaint is in Create or In Process state.

Modify Event Details from the Complaint Power View Page

You can modify the details of an event such as event confirmation and timing. You can modify details of multiple events.

Before you begin: You must be on the Complaint Power View page.
  1. From the Complaint Power View page, in the Events tab toolbar, click Enable Edit.
  2. Modify the following details.

    Field Name Description
    ConfirmedClick the displayed value and select a confirmation status from the list.
    TimingClick the displayed value and select a timing from the list.
    Problem DescriptionClick the displayed value and update the description.

    Tip: In edit mode, you can select a column name from the Mass Update list and change the value of the column for all or selected events.
  3. Click Save.
    The updated details are saved.
  4. Click Disable Edit to exit edit mode.

Modify Event Details from Event Properties Page

You can modify the details of an event such as description, date of occurrence, experience code, and issue code.

Before you begin: You must be on the Event Properties page.
  1. From the Event Properties page toolbar, click Edit.
  2. Modify the following details.
    Field Name Description
    Experience CodeClick and select a code from the Standard Codes page.
    ConfirmedSelect a confirmation value from the list.
    Date of OccurrenceClick to select the required date. You can select only a past date.
    TimingSelect a timing from the list.
    Issue CodeType the required issue code.
    Event DetailsUpdate the event description.
  3. Click Done.
    The details of the event are updated.

Modify Event Confirmation from the Patient Events Page

You can modify the confirmation status of an event related to a patient. You can modify the confirmation status of multiple events.

Before you begin: You must be on the Events page.
  1. From the Events page toolbar, click Enable Edit.
  2. Click in the Confirmed column corresponding to the required event.
    A check box appears.
  3. Select the check box to confirm the event.

    You can clear the check box to remove the confirmation status.

  4. Click Save.
    The confirmation status is updated.
  5. Click Disable Edit to exit edit mode.
