Request Types List

A request type defines the category of work expected to be completed by a resource request. It includes a questionnaire that reviewers must fill out. The request type can be used as a rule to configure a request queue.

For example, you can define a request type for resource planning and another for new product creation. When you configure the request queue, you add the resource planning request type to it as a rule. Then, when regulatory requests are created using that request type, Market Registration adds the request to any queue that includes that type (as long as the regulatory request meets all other rules for the request queue).

The questionnaire for the request type leads the Regulatory Request Responder through the process of determining who needs to review and approve the deliverable of the request. The person who creates the regulatory request uses the Configure Reviewers action to fill out the questionnaire. Based on those answers, a route is inserted between the Review and Complete states of the request that includes tasks for people to review the deliverable. The answers to the questionnaire could also result in no one being required to approve the deliverable.
