Using Selection Propagation

You can use Selection Propagation to empty, add, or extend commands to a selected object. It is accessible via the Selection Panel and the Selection Bar.


Before you begin: Select an element.

  1. Select an element.
    The Selection Propagation arrow automatically appears in the right-hand corner of Selection Panel and Selection Bar.
  2. Select an option from the drop-down list.

    Options include:

    • Empty selection
    • Extend to the whole shape
    • Extend to protrusion
    • Extend to depression
    • Extend to neighborhood
    • Extend to tangent elements
    • Extend to the wall
    • Add coplanar surfaces
    • Add a geometry identical to the selection
    • Extract boundary
    Note: The availability of these options depends on the command launched and its relative suitability.

    Once a propagation is selected, it is directly applied and the highlighted area is automatically validated.
