About Material Domain Properties

Material domain properties determine physical and visual characteristics of the object to which the associated material is applied. They vary according to the material domain.

  • For more information about Rendering properties, see Rendering Scene Design User's Guide: Modifying Material Appearance.
Note: Stickers also have an appearance domain that you can edit. For more information, see Rendering Scene Design User's Guide: Stickers.
  • For more information about Drafting properties, see Drafting User's Guide: Properties: Editing Pattern Properties.
  • For more information about Composite properties, see Composites Design User's Guide: Before you start: Defining the Composites Parameters.
  • For more information about Simulation properties, see Materials and Simulation: Defining a Simulation Domain in the guide of the SIMULIA Physics Simulation app that you want to use.

Rendering and simulation domain properties also include a dedicated tab that lets you modify the properties of the domain.

To access the properties for the other domains, right-click the domain, and select Properties....
